The principle of centreless abraisive belt grinding causes a
quick finish treatment of outside surfaces of cylindrical and slightly conical workpieces. Therefore the compact machine with one universally designed working station treats an economical
solution to many applications, such as frequently changing small-scale series or single workpieces.
Especially in case of wet grinding with emulsion (picture 1)
sometimes one throughfeed only is sufficent because of the high metal removal rate. Alternatively the user can lead the workpiece several times through the working station (reversing process)
by pivoting the control wheel.
If no too high output capacity is aseked for higher surfae
requirements can be met by several throughfeeds using abraisive belts of graditional grit sizes. Additional throughfeeds using cork polishing belts result in a finish, that cooresponds to a
polished surface. With that the quick belt changing is very advantageous.

On the other hand also plastic bound grinding wheels or
polishing wheels of manifold kind can be used in the wheel guard and they can be changed within a minute. In each case there is a adjusting device for compensation of wheel wear. The spray
equipment, which is needed for application of liquid paste (picture 2) can be built on the working station additionally. A pressure tank feeds the liquid to the spray gun with adjustable time
intervals.
If however it is certain from the first, that only cloth
polishing wheels, elastic grinding wheels, brushes a.s.o. will be used, the belt grinding arm can be renounced to and a special polishing guard can be used (picture 3). The guard has got a
socket for connecting a dust extraction tube.
